The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) dealt a heavy blow to the illegal drug trade across Metro Manila, arresting six suspects—including two high-value individuals—and confiscating roughly 314 grams of suspected shabu valued at over ₱2.1 million during a series of rapid anti-drug operations on October 21, 2026.
The day’s biggest haul unfolded in Marikina City, where operatives from the Eastern Police District’s District Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Parang.
The afternoon sting resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male newly identified as a high-value individual.
Authorities recovered seven sachets containing approximately 245.84 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱1,671,712, alongside buy-bust money and a motorcycle.
Later that evening, the crackdown shifted to Makati City, where local drug enforcement officers raided Barangay Pio Del Pilar.
The operation led to the apprehension of four suspects, headed by a 58-year-old female high-value target alongside three street-level cohorts.
Seized from their possession were five sachets containing about 53 grams of shabu with an estimated value of ₱360,400.
Earlier in the evening, police in Taguig City intercepted a 30-year-old male street-level dealer during a separate operation in Barangay Pinagsama.
Officers confiscated three sachets containing 15.5 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱105,400, together with marked money and a coin purse.
All six arrested individuals will face formal complaints for violations of Sections 5 and 11 under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The confiscated evidence has been submitted for forensic testing as legal proceedings commence.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano commended the operating units for their synchronized enforcement, highlighting the command’s uncompromising stance against narcotics distributors.
“We are going after those who continue to distribute illegal drugs in our communities. Whether they operate on a large scale or at the street level, they will be pursued. Our police units have clear instructions: act on intelligence, build strong cases, and make every operation count,” PBGen. Abrahano emphasized.
The NCRPO maintains that sustained intelligence-driven operations will continue to disrupt supply lines and protect local communities throughout the metropolis from the perils of illegal drugs.
