ADDRESSING the growing challenge of criminal activities that routinely cross municipal and city boundaries, the Southern Police District (SPD) officially launched the “Timpuyog” Borderless Policing System on Monday, October 19, 2026.

The initiative directly operationalizes the directives of the Officer-in-Charge of NCRPO, Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano, aimed at dismantling jurisdictional silos.

The formal launch took place during the Monday flag raising and awarding ceremonies, graced by PBGen. Abrahano, Deputy Regional Director for Administration PBGen. Arnold Thomas C. Ibay, SPD District Director PBGen. Rodel A. Pastor, and key members of the SPD Command Group.

Derived to foster a unified law enforcement framework, “Timpuyog” empowers police stations and operating units to seamlessly share real-time intelligence, coordinate tactical operations, and extend mutual support past traditional territorial lines.

By removing administrative barriers, the system ensures that law enforcement agencies can swiftly track and neutralize criminal elements attempting to exploit city borders to evade capture.

This strategic rollout aligns with the national police thrust, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,”

reinforcing the delivery of prompt, honest, and tangible public safety services.

Furthermore, SPD Director PBGen. Pastor emphasized that the framework deeply complements the district’s core T.S.A.P.A. values: Trustworthy, Service-oriented, Accessible, Professional, and Accountable.

“Through this initiative, we put into action the importance of working together beyond territorial boundaries. Criminals do not limit their movements to one city, and neither should our coordination,” PBGen. Pastor stated.

“Under the directives of our OIC, NCRPO, we will continue to reinvigorate intelligence-fusion and information-sharing to support our fellow units, and ensure that our operations remain focused on crime prevention and public safety. Our mission remains clear: to serve and protect always,” Pastor emphasized.

With “Timpuyog” now fully integrated across southern Metro Manila, the SPD stands better equipped to execute high-impact, cooperative operations, ensuring safer and more secure communities throughout the National Capital Region.
