POLICE operatives arrested a 41-year-old man listed as the top fifth most wanted person at the station level during a targeted manhunt operation in Barangay Manuyo Uno, Las Piñas City on Sunday morning, September 13.
Elements of the warrant and subpoena section of the Parañaque City Police Station served the warrant of arrest against the suspect, identified by the alias “Jofred,” at his residence around 11:30 a.m.
The arrest was executed by virtue of a warrant issued on August 17, 2026, by the Presiding Judge of Family Court Branch 10 in Parañaque City.
Jofred faces criminal charges involving seven counts of statutory acts of lasciviousness, with a court-recommended bail set at ₱180,000 for each count.
Additionally, he faces one count for violating Section 10(A) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, with bail set at ₱80,000.
Total recommended bail for all eight charges amounts to ₱1.34 million.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director PBGen. Rodel A. Pastor highlighted the operation as part of the district’s ongoing crackdown against fugitives, stressing the priority given to cases involving crimes against vulnerable sectors.
The suspect was brought to the police station for proper documentation and disposition prior to turning him over to the issuing court.
