NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano has commended elements of the Malabon City Police Station Substation 6 and local barangay tanods for their swift response, which resulted in the apprehension of three robbery suspects and the recovery of ₱54,739.75 worth of stolen goods in Barangay Ibaba on October 19, 2026.

According to initial police reports, a 46-year-old parking attendant spotted the suspects around 7:00 p.m. crossing a river on a makeshift banca and heading toward a residence along C. Arellano Street.

The witness watched as the men broke through the roof of the house and subsequently emerged carrying two pieces of luggage and a duffel bag.

The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights during the arrest and were subsequently brought to the police station for proper documentation and investigation. Authorities are preparing to file appropriate criminal charges against them.
