A high-stakes, cross-region manhunt culminated in the capture of a top regional fugitive following a coordinated police operation near a convenience store in Barangay Pamplona Tres, Las Piñas City.
The 44-year-old suspect, a resident of Calamba City, Laguna, was intercepted at approximately 1:15 PM by a joint strike team comprising elements from the Las Piñas City Police Station and the Bay Municipal Police Station of the Laguna Provincial Office.
The accused had managed to evade law enforcement across regional borders until the joint forces closed in.
Authorities served the suspect an active warrant of arrest for murder issued by Branch 153 of the Regional Trial Court in Biñan City, Laguna, on September 21, 2026. The capital offense carries no bail.
Commenting on the successful neutralization of the target—who ranked as both the Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Las Piñas City and a Regional Level Most Wanted Person for Calabarzon (PRO 4A)—NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano emphasized the unyielding reach of the law.
“We cross boundaries, close in on every hiding place, and serve every warrant without hesitation. A fugitive may change addresses, but cannot change the outcome: justice will find them,” Abrahano stated.
Following his arrest, the suspect was safely transferred to the Station Custodial Facility of the Las Piñas City Police Station, where he remains detained while awaiting the formal issuance of a commitment order from the originating court.
