YEARS of evasion finally came to an end late Thursday evening when authorities arrested the Top 1 Most Wanted Person for the CALABARZON region during a coordinated law enforcement operation in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City.
The high-profile arrest took place on October 9, 2026, at approximately 10:25 PM as part of the National Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) intensified “EMPO” campaign.
The suspect, working as a truck driver, was cornered through a joint operation conducted by warrant operatives from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Payatas Station (PS13), alongside the Warrant Tracker Team of the Kawit Municipal Police Station and Cavite Regional Intelligence Unit 4A (RIU4A).
Alongside his regional standing, the suspect was also listed as a most wanted individual at the district level.
Law enforcement officers served a total of five outstanding warrants of arrest against the suspect, all issued by Regional Trial Courts of the 4th Judicial Region based in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
Four of the warrants stem from charges of Robbery with Homicide under Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code. These were issued by:
- Regional Trial Court Branch 133 on March 5, 2021
- Regional Trial Court Branch 134 on January 18, 2017
- Regional Trial Court Branch 18 on July 3, 2017, and June 10, 2016
The fifth warrant is for Murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, issued by Branch 18 on May 18, 2021. Courts have recommended no bail for all five pending cases.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N Abrahano commended the operating teams for their precision, coordination, and swift execution.
“Time and distance are no shields against justice, and every warrant we serve keeps a promise to a grieving family,” PBGEN Abrahano stated. “Those who seek refuge in the National Capital Region will find that the net only grows tighter.”
The suspect is currently in the custody of QCPD Payatas Station (PS13) while undergoing processing for proper legal disposition and eventual turnover to the respective courts that issued the warrants.
