IN a massive series of synchronized operations, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) successfully apprehended 15 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) across the city, according to an announcement on October 9, 2026.
Acting District Director Police Brigadier General Christopher Olazo commended the various police stations and specialized units for their coordinated efforts in tracking down fugitives facing multiple warrants of arrest (WOAs) for serious offenses ranging from drug violations to heinous crimes.
Among the high-profile operations, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), led by Police Major Judge Rowe Donato, served a warrant on October 5 against a 50-year-old district-level most wanted person (alias “Jul”) at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City for qualified rape.
CIDU operatives also tracked down a 52-year-old suspect (alias “Fur”), listed as the No. 4 District-Level MWP, at his residence in Barangay East Kamias for statutory rape.
Meanwhile, joint elements from the District Special Operation Unit and Anonas Police Station (PS 9) nabbed a 38-year-old drug suspect (alias “Rin”) in Barangay Baesa by virtue of a warrant issued under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Several other stations echoed similar high-impact arrests:
- Talipapa Police Station 3 captured its top most wanted person (alias “Agot”), a 40-year-old man wanted for murder and frustrated homicide.
- La Loma Police Station 1 arrested a 59-year-old drug case fugitive (alias “Mon”) in Barangay Apolonio Samson.
- Novaliches Police Station 4 secured multiple collars, including suspects facing charges for dangerous drugs, lascivious conduct, and statutory violations.
- Additional arrests were carried out by Fairview, Batasan, Kamuning, Galas, Payatas Bagong Silangan, and Project 6 police stations, netting individuals with pending warrants for theft, acts of lasciviousness, and drug offenses.
Authorities confirmed that the respective courts that issued the arrest warrants have been duly notified of the successful apprehensions.
Reiterating the district’s strict stance against criminality, PBGen. Olazo emphasized that law enforcement will continue to track down fugitives evading the law.
“The QCPD remains committed to intensifying its manhunt operations and ensuring that wanted persons are brought before the courts to face the charges against them, in accordance with law and due process,” Olazo stated.
