FUGITIVES in Metro South have found little place to hide, as the Southern Police District (SPD) under Police Brigadier General Rodel Alcantara Pastor secured the arrest of 263 wanted persons during his first 30 days in command.
Running from September 7 to October 7, 2026, the district-wide manhunt operations spanned the entire MaTaPatPaMuLa area of responsibility—covering Makati, Taguig, Pateros, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and Parañaque.
The relentless operations resulted in the capture of 43 Top Ten Most Wanted Persons, 57 Most Wanted Persons, and 163 Other Wanted Persons.
Since taking over the helm, PBGEN Pastor has mandated local police units to heavily prioritize intelligence-driven operations, tighten inter-agency coordination, and maintain an aggressive community presence to ensure that court-issued warrants are served without delay.
“There is no room to hide. We will continue to pursue wanted persons and bring them before the proper courts. This is our responsibility to the public and to the justice system,” PBGen. Pastor asserted.
The District Director credited the stellar month-long haul to the dedication of SPD’s directorial staff, specialized units, and city police stations, underscoring that decisive action and accurate intelligence remain vital to effective law enforcement.
In the wake of these accomplishments, the SPD urged remaining fugitives to surrender peacefully to authorities.
The district also encouraged the public to come forward with any information regarding the whereabouts of wanted individuals to help keep local communities safe and ensure that the law is fully upheld.
