NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano has issued a strict warning to all Metro Manila police personnel against unauthorized outside employment or moonlighting.

The directive aims to prevent sideline work from interfering with official duties, compromising officer integrity, or eroding public trust in law enforcement.

PBGen. Abrahano stressed that law enforcers must maintain unwavering focus on their sworn responsibilities to protect the public, curb crime, and preserve peace and order.

District directors and unit commanders have been directed to enforce existing Philippine National Police (PNP) regulations on outside employment across all ranks.

This crackdown reinforces the stance of PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. on absolute professionalism and accountability.

It also aligns directly with directives from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla to bolster public confidence in the police force.

“Every police officer must understand that wearing the uniform carries responsibilities that cannot be set aside for personal gain,” PBGen. Abrahano stated, emphasizing that side activities must never compromise duty availability or professional judgment.

The NCRPO chief warned that all reported violations will undergo thorough verification and due process.

Personnel caught engaging in prohibited secondary employment will face corresponding administrative and legal consequences.

Reiterating the leadership’s commitment to discipline and integrity, Abrahano underscored that sustained public confidence relies on officers consistently prioritizing their constitutional obligations over personal interests.
