LOCAL law enforcement successfully apprehended Taguig’s second most wanted person at the station level during a targeted manhunt operation in Barangay Pinagsama on Monday morning.
At approximately 10:20 AM, operatives from Sub-Station 3 served an arrest warrant at Phase 1, Pinagsama, leading to the capture of a 37-year-old male identified through the alias “Jeriel.”
The suspect is facing three counts of rape under Criminal Case Numbers 11791, 11792, and 11793.
The warrant was issued on September 29, 2026, by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 15, Taguig City, with no bail recommended for the charges.
Following his detention, authorities informed the suspect of his constitutional rights and the nature of his arrest in a dialect he understood. He exercised his right to remain silent.
Prior to his transfer to the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Taguig City Police Station (CPS) for proper disposition and the official return of the warrant to the court, Jeriel was taken to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital for a standard medical examination.
Police officials noted that the operation is part of the Southern Police District’s (SPD) broader, intensified campaign to track down fugitives and individuals facing serious criminal accusations.
Southern Police District Director PBGen. Rodel A. Pastor emphasized the agency’s ongoing commitment to accountability.
“Wanted persons cannot hide forever,” PBGen. Pastor stated. “We will continue to track them down, serve the warrants issued by the courts, and ensure that they face the proper legal process.”
