THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has arrested 13 individuals allegedly linked to the True Brown Style (TBS) group in a series of operations spanning from August 2024 to September 2028.
According to police records, enforcement efforts have steadily scaled up, with two arrests recorded in 2024, four in 2025, and seven in 2026.
The operations were distributed across Metro Manila’s police districts, yielding six arrests in the Southern Police District, four in the Manila Police District, two in the Quezon City Police District, and one in the Northern Police District.
The suspects are collectively linked to 21 alleged violations, including firearms law infractions, illegal gambling, kidnapping, illegal detention, drug offenses, theft, homicide, human trafficking, cybercrime, hazing, and child abuse.
In response to the threat, NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano has directed all regional units to intensify intelligence gathering and operations against the group.
The directive aligns with orders from Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla and PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. to shield minors from criminal grooming and exploitation.
“Our children should never be used as tools for criminal activities,” Abrahano stated, emphasizing the urgent need to block youth recruitment.
“We will pursue those who exploit children and ensure that our young people are protected from criminal influence,” Abrahano added.
Beyond law enforcement sweeps, the NCRPO is scaling up community-based interventions. Police units are collaborating closely with local government units, schools, barangay leaders, and parents to detect early warning signs of recruitment.
The agency also urges the public to immediately report any suspicious activities involving the grooming or exploitation of minors.
