AFTER years of evading the law, MIMAROPA’s No. 9 regional most wanted person was finally captured during a coordinated inter-agency operation in Barangay Real, Calamba City, Laguna on October 3, 2026.
The successful arrest at around 11:00 AM was the result of a joint intelligence-driven manhunt involving multiple law enforcement units.
The operation was spearheaded by the San Jose Municipal Police Station (MPS) under the leadership of Chief of Police PLTCOL Ariel S. Roldan, in collaboration with MLET-Abra de Ilog, Maritime Police Station Occidental Mindoro, the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, the 1st Occidental Mindoro PMFC, the 405th Regional Mobile Force Battalion, the Calamba City Police Station, and the PNP Intelligence Group-Internal Security Operation Division.
The fugitive was apprehended by virtue of an active warrant of arrest issued on January 12, 2017, for murder, with no bail recommended.
The suspect has since been transferred to the custody of the San Jose MPS for proper legal disposition.
PRO MIMAROPA Regional Director PBGEN Christopher R. Dela Cruz commended the participating units, emphasizing that inter-jurisdictional cooperation and relentless tracking remain vital in bringing fugitives to justice.
“The passage of time does not diminish our responsibility to pursue individuals with standing warrants. Through persistent intelligence work and strong coordination among our units, we will continue to locate wanted persons and ensure that they are brought before the proper courts,” PBGEN Dela Cruz stated.
