AUTHORITIES arrested Metro Manila’s seventh most wanted person during a police operation in Quezon City on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Operatives from the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) apprehended the 55-year-old suspect at approximately 12:30 PM along Kalayaan C Extension in Barangay Batasan Hills.
The suspect, who also ranked as the top most wanted person at both the district and station levels, faces serious charges.
Law enforcement officers arrested a suspect after serving a warrant issued on May 25, 2026, by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 13 (Family Court) in Quezon City.
The warrant covers charges of Qualified Rape, for which no bail was recommended; Sexual Assault under Article 266 of the Revised Penal Code, with a recommended bail of ₱200,000; and two counts of Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336, with ₱180,000 bail recommended for each count.
The arrest resulted from a coordinated manhunt involving the QCPD-CIDU, QCPD District Intelligence Team, Regional Intelligence Unit-NCR, and Technical Services Division.
The official warrant of arrest will be formally returned to the court of origin for subsequent judicial proceedings.
“A fugitive’s freedom is merely a deferred reckoning. NCRPO will keep closing every gap until those who evade accountability face the court and survivors find vindication,” said PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Officer-in-Charge of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
The NCRPO stated that it is intensifying manhunt operations across Metro Manila’s five police districts to track down individuals with outstanding warrants.
Authorities encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding wanted persons to the nearest police station or via the national emergency hotline 911.
