OPERATIVES from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) tracked down and arrested Metro Manila’s Top 8 Regional Most Wanted Person during a joint manhunt operation in Pampanga on Tuesday evening.
The 46-year-old male suspect was apprehended around 6:30 PM on September 29 at his residence in Sto. Domingo Village, Barangay San Jose Matulid, Mexico, Pampanga.
The arrest was served under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 4 of Manila, for sexual assault under Article 266-A, Paragraph 2 of the Revised Penal Code (as amended by Republic Act 11648).
Court records show bail was recommended at ₱200,000 for his provisional release.
The cross-regional operation was spearheaded by the NCRPO Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG), in coordination with the NCRPO Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), the Mexico Municipal Police Station, and the Regional Intelligence Unit–NCR.
Authorities confirmed the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights upon arrest. He remains in custody at an NCRPO facility for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano commended the joint intelligence units for locating the fugitive outside Metro Manila.
“Through strengthened intelligence gathering and coordinated multi-unit operations, the NCRPO continues to track down and apprehend individuals who attempt to elude the law,” Abrahano said, adding that public cooperation remains critical in locating fugitives.
