PASIG City Police Station operatives arrested a 41-year-old drug suspect and recovered illegal drugs alongside an unlicensed firearm during a search warrant operation in Barangay Pineda late Sunday night, September 6.
Acting on Search Warrant No. 20-2026 issued by Branch 154 of the Pasig City Regional Trial Court, personnel from the Ortigas Police Sub-Station, led by PMAJ. Renato O. Seguban, raided a residence along Banaag Street at around 11:25 PM.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of the suspect, identified by the alias “Joel,” a local tricycle driver.
During the search, officers confiscated two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around seven grams of suspected shabu, valued at an estimated street price of ₱47,600.
Police also seized a serviceable Jaguar caliber .38 revolver loaded with six live rounds, six additional live rounds, and a black pouch.
Pasig City Police Chief PCol. Hendrix B. Mangaldan stated that the operation followed extensive surveillance and intelligence gathering targeting drug activity in the area.
Mangaldan commended the operating unit for its vigilance, reaffirming the station’s commitment to stepping up proactive intelligence and law enforcement efforts against illegal drugs and crime across the city.
