IN a series of coordinated, intelligence-led tactical strikes from September 4 to 5, 2026, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) dealt a major blow to illegal drug networks operating across Metro Manila.
The overnight operations led to the arrest of 10 suspects, including prominent High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and street-level individuals (SLIs), as well as the confiscation of 163.34 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱1,110,712.
The synchronized crackdown executed the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) framework, a cornerstone of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.’s five-focused agenda aimed at dismantling illicit syndicates in the capital.
The most significant operational gains took place across key sectors of Manila.
Operatives from Barbosa Police Station (PS-14) launched a buy-bust along Rawaton Street in Barangay 648, San Miguel, capturing a 42-year-old HVI and recovering 25 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱170,000.
Meanwhile, in Sampaloc, police intercepted a 56-year-old HVI drug pusher and a 59-year-old female accomplice on Sobriedad Extension, seizing 56 grams valued at ₱380,800.
Additional operations in Tondo and Sta. Cruz resulted in four more arrests and the recovery of 33 grams of shabu worth ₱224,400.
The regional enforcement drive extended to neighboring southern cities.
In Las Piñas City, police personnel conducted a buy-bust along Strawberry Street in Barangay Talon Singko, apprehending two male suspects, aged 27 and 29, along with 39.44 grams of shabu valued at ₱268,192.
In Taguig City, officers collared a 44-year-old listed SLI along C6 Road in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, recovering 9.9 grams worth ₱67,320.
All ten suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and are currently in police custody facing formal criminal complaints before prosecutorial offices.
Authorities confirmed that all seized evidence was processed under strict chain-of-custody protocols.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano reaffirmed the command’s commitment to relentless enforcement, warning that police units will aggressively pursue and prosecute anyone involved in the illegal drug trade across Metro Manila.
