THE National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) officially launched its 60th Founding Anniversary Inter-Color Sportsfest on August 24, 2026, at the NAPOLCOM Central Office, signaling the start of a series of commemorative events marking six decades of public service.

Organized in partnership with the NAPOLCOM Employees Association (NAPEMA), the annual sports tournament aims to foster physical wellness, sportsmanship, and organizational unity among agency personnel as they celebrate the commission’s milestone anniversary.

Opening ceremonies were spearheaded by Commissioner Beatrice Aurora A. Vega-Cancio, Head of the NAPOLCOM 60th Anniversary Steering Committee, alongside Commissioner Ralph Calinisan, Commissioner Josephus G. Angan, and Deputy Executive Director Arlene L. Castro-Co.

In her welcoming address, Commissioner Vega-Cancio highlighted the broader purpose of the games beyond competition, noting that athletic events reinforce key professional values such as teamwork, discipline, trust, respect, and resilience.

Commissioner Vega-Cancio stressed that maintaining physical health and strong interpersonal relationships among staff is vital to sustaining a robust public institution.

Echoing these sentiments, Commissioner Calinisan reminded participants that sports serve as a tool to strengthen solidarity and discipline—core qualities essential for public service and nation-building.
